Ilocos Norte Honors its own Chief Justice Peralta. Chief Justice Diosdado M. Peralta is recognized by the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Ilocos Norte for his exceptional achievements during Pammadayaw, a testimonial dinner held in the Chief Justice’s honor at Fort Ilocandia in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte on February 7, 2020. A homegrown Laoagueňo, Chief Justice Peralta is being honored by the IBP saying “his reputation has always been impeccable and remains to be an epitome of integrity and competence” and that he is “very much known for his speedy resolution and disposition of cases” in all the years of his fruitful career.  Also in photo are the Chief Justice’s 94-year old mother, retired public school teacher Mrs. Catalina M. Peralta (center), his wife Court of Appeals Justice Fernanda Lampas-Peralta (second from right), and Attys. Bernie Francis Constantino (left) and Ernielineo Labrador, IBP Ilocos Norte President and Secretary, respectively. During the Pammadayaw, an Ilocano term which means to give honor to someone, the Chief Justice was feted by IBP and Public Attorney’s Office lawyers, trial court judges, prosecutors, former colleagues and classmates, and his nonagenarian mother.
