The seven Technical Working Groups (TWGs) of the JSCC each gave an update report and CJ Bersamin happily shared that he was “very encouraged” by the TWGs’ outputs considering that “the courts lack a feedback mechanism.” He, however, requested that the EU extend the GOJUST Programme, which expires by the end of this year—to which Secretaries Guevarra and Año joined and expressed their support.
The JSCC was organized to serve as a joint forum for dialogue on issues of common interest and a mechanism for effective coordination and sharing of information in support of the planning and the implementation of joint initiatives among justice sector institutions, specifically the SC, DOJ, and the DILG, who are collectively called the JSCC Principals.
