FAQ

PERSONAL REQUEST:

      1. Fill-out the request form that can be found in the OBC receiving section
      2. Pay the legal fees at the cashier located at the Old Building-SC
      3. Return to OBC office and submit the request form together with the receipt.
      4. Follow-up through phone call: 8526-81-22

Note: 3-5 working days for Certificate of Membership and Ratings / 5 working days for Certificate of Good Standing

THROUGH AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE:

      1. Submit a letter request with authorization letter to an OBC staff
      2. Fill-out the request form (If no letter request provided)
      3. Pay the legal fees at the cashier located at the Old Building-SC
      4. Return to OBC office and submit the request form together with the receipt.
      5. Follow-up through phone call: 8526-81-22

Note: An authorized representative may claim the certificate/(s) provided that he/she shall submit the following:

            1. Authorization letter
            2. Photocopy of the valid id’s of the:
              1. Lawyer
              2. Representative

THROUGH MAIL

      1. Request letter indicating the document/(s) needed
      2. Payment: Postal Money Order (PMO) Check Payee-Cashier, Supreme Court

Note: Make sure that the entries in the P.M.O. check is complete and no erasures since the bank will not accepti ncomplete and altered PMO’s

      1. Enclosed an LBC Prepaid envelope.
    1. Certificate of Membership in the Bar-Php.100.00
    2. Grades/Ratings-Php.100.00
    3. Good Standing-Php.100.00
    4. Verification as a member of the Bar-Php.100.00
    5. Certificate of Good Standing as a Lawyer (For California, New York, etc. State Bar)-Php.600.00

Note: For California, New York and other State Bar, the lawyer must first secure an IBP National Certificate as to the Payment of Dues and Good Standing before OBC could issue a Certificate of Good Standing.
