Ako po ay lubos na natutuwang makita na tayong lahat ay nagsasaya at nadiriwang sa ika-109 na anibersaryo ng  ating Korte Suprema.

As we celebrate, let us honor in our hearts and minds the efforts and sacrifices of our predecessors over the past 109 years to build a Supreme Court known for its of integrity and independence. Chief Justice Abad Santos sacrificed his life for Philippine independence; Chief   Justice Roberto Concepcion defied a dictatorship to preserve the separation of powers; and Justice J.B.L Reyes braved water canons and truncheons to advance civil liberties.  They are just a few of our judicial luminaries whose deeds lent majesty and mystique to the Supreme Court.

We give tribute to the best and the brightest in the legal profession, magistrates, and court attorneys, who are with us in the Supreme Court.  They are the powerhouse of this great institution — the brain and the heart put together. We are deeply grateful to them for maintaining the highest standards of judicial excellence by their courage and tenacity in resolving volatile cases, their efficient management of the Court dockets, and their keeping faith in the Constitution, regardless of political intrigue and the mob mentality.

Among us are a new breed of civil servants whose work ethics and dedication to service are beyond    compare.    This   celebration   is   specially  dedicated to them. By their example, may everyone be inspired to give greater service to our people.  May all strive to make the Supreme Court the most trustworthy institution in this country.
