The Chief Justice delivered the Keynote Address to kickoff the two-day colloquium and lectured thereafter on the 2020 Revised Rules of Procedure for Intellectual Property Rights Cases (2020 IPR Rules). The program was designed to apprise judges of the 2020 IPR Rules, as approved by the Supreme Court En Banc on October 6, 2020 in A.M. No. 10-3-10-SC. It was also a venue to share experiences and best practices on intellectual property in other jurisdictions. The 2020 IPR Rules took effect on November 16, 2020.
The Supreme Court, through the leadership of Chief Justice Peralta, in partnership with PHILJA, IPOPHL, and the United Kingdom Intellectual Property Office, will conduct the colloquium through blended learning methodology, face to face, and videoconferencing. Participants include Special Commercial Court judges and their Pairing Court judges nationwide. (Courtesy of the SC Public Information Office)
