9,821 Candidates Expected To Take the 2022 Bar Exams

The Supreme Court, through the Office of the Bar Confidant, today announced that out of 10,074 total approved applications, 10,006 applicants participated in the venue selection and were assigned to their respective local testing centers. To date, 9,821 candidates are expected to take the 2022 Bar Examinations on November 9, 2022, the first day of this year’s Examinations which will be held in 14 local testing centers nationwide. The succeeding dates of Bar Examinations are on November 13, 16, and 20, 2022.
Of the 9,821 candidates, 5,847 will be taking the Bar Examinations for the first time while 3,974 will be taking the examinations for the second time or more.
The 14 testing centers are spread out in the NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (1. San Beda University; 2. De La Salle University; 3. Manila Adventist College; 4. Ateneo de Manila University; 5. University of the Philippines – Bonifacio Global City); LUZON (6. Saint Louis University; 7. De La Salle Lipa; 8. University of Nueva Caceres); VISAYAS (9. University of Cebu; 10. University of San Carlos; 11. Dr. Vicente Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation); and MINDANAO (12. Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan; 13. Ateneo de Davao University; and 14. Of the 14 testing centers, Ateneo de Manila University will have the largest number of Bar examinees at 2,529, while Ateneo de Zamboanga University will have the least number of examinees at 267. The number of Bar examinees in the 12 other testing centers are as follows: (NCR)1. San Beda University – 600 ; 2. De La Salle University – 794; 3. Manila Adventist College – 350; 4. University of Cebu – 789; 9. University of San Carlos – 530; 10. Dr. Vicente Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation – 392 ; (MINDANAO) 11. Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan – 464; and 12. Ateneo de Davao University – 780.
The 2022 Bar Examinations shall adopt a three-examiner policy.
2022 Bar Examinations Committee Chairperson and Supreme Court Associate Justice Alfredo Benjamin S.
