In her address shortly after the flag-raising ceremony on June 13, 2022 at the SC New Building courtyard along Padre Faura, Ermita, Manila, Justice Singh said: “I will continue working for inclusive and equal rights not just for women, but for all gender identities. I want the opportunities that I fought hard to have and enjoy to be readily attainable by all, girls and boys alike and all the identities in between.” Justice Singh also invited all to lead a life of faith and service, with an emphasis on the urgent need for patriotism and a reminder that “Love for country should not be seasonal…[It] must be a daily choice, it must be a way of life.”
“I invite all of you to walk with us in faith and service. Together, we can move mountains,” she concluded. Prior to her appointment to the High Tribunal, Justice Singh was an Associate Justice of the Court of Appeals. (Courtesy of the SC Public Information Office)
