NBI Officials Pay Courtesy Call on Chief Justice Gesmundo

Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo receives a token from National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Senior Deputy Director and Officer-in-Charge Eric B. Distor, who, along with other NBI officials, paid a courtesy call on the Chief Justice on Wednesday, May 18, at the Supreme Court En Banc Conference Room. With them are (left) Associate Justice Jose Midas P. Marquez and (right) NBI Deputy Director Medardo G. De Lemos.
Director Distor congratulated the Chief Justice on the recent signing into law of Republic Act No. 11691, or the Judiciary Marshals Act, while the Chief Justice acknowledged the help and support of the NBI officials in the crafting of the Implementing Rules and Regulations of the said law. The NBI also committed to help the Supreme Court in expediting the processing of the NBI clearance of applicants to judicial posts, and in improving the access of both agencies to court records, documents, and other shared data.
Other representatives from the NBI were Assistant Directors Ferdinand M. Lavin, Jose Justo S. Yap, and Roel Bolivar; Atty. Yehlen C. Agus; Agt. Geraldo P. De Luna; Atty. Christopher N.
