Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo gives an overview of the Supreme Court’s initiatives under its blueprint of action for judicial reform, the Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations (2022-2027) during a meeting with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on February 5, 2024 at the En Banc Conference of the Supreme Court in Ermita, Manila. Among the topics discussed are addressing court congestion and delays in trials, improving access to justice, safeguarding human rights, gender sensitivity and inclusivity, providing trainings for judges regarding financial crimes, and ensuring judicial independence and integrity, and combating corruption.
