“As a woman, it is an exceptional honor, in this occasion, to be the representative voice of my sisters in hopes of being a catalytic instrument to inspire, empower, and uplift more women.”
Thus, said Justice Amy C. Lazaro-Javier before officers and employees of the Department of Justice (DOJ) during the DOJ’s flag-raising ceremony on March 27, 2023 as part of the agency’s 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration.
Justice Lazaro-Javier added, ““If there is any other achievement more worth celebrating about a woman, it is when she emerges ever stronger and more resilient each passing day that she endures and survives.”
She concluded, “”We must create and develop a society where women are truly seen—a society where women are wholly supported, equipped, and free to fully realize who they choose to be—may it be a housewife, a full-time mother, a successful career woman, or both.” (Courtesy of the Supreme Court Public Information Office)
